Ilene Marcus has a wealth of management experience and is a solutions person who strives to find ways to keep the most difficult people stay engaged in the workplace. Her practical advice is needed in today's complicated work environment.
I am hardly an unbiased reviewer. The author asked for my help editing the book and I was a big fan of the concept. I have been a supervisors in the non-profit and government world. Annoying people come with the territory. I wish I had this book 20 years ago. Some painful people I just had to tolerate. That is hardly the path to excellence. I also learned some annoying people think they are being very helpful. This is a woman who made a difference for NYC, and this book can make a difference for you.
